Giuseppe "Peppe" Cavalieri is a career photographer with over 25 years of experience that extends around the globe.

Cavalieri is best known for the special empathy, integrity, and lyricism that identify his documentary photography.

His work was praised by Andy Warhol.

Cavalieri was hired as a retained photographer for the prestigious magazine ANDY WARHOL'S INTERVIEW.

His editorial photographs also appeared in magazines such as SPIN, DETAILS, THE FACE, BRUTUS, AMERICAN OGGI, and other national

and international publications.

In the year 2000, Cavalieri published his notable book, "THE OTHER SIDE" (Amazon.com), a poignant portrayal of the homeless, which garnered him the attention of editors and led to support from several high-profile humanitarian organizations including THE ROBIN HOOD FOUNDATION, THE UNITED NATIONS-HABITAT and THE INTERNATIONAL CENTER FOR PEACE.

For the last seven years, Cavalieri has devoted his creativity to the inspiring artistic challenge of documenting the world of underprivileged children for his photographic project titled "CHILDREN'S ISLANDS".

Cavalieri is one of the rare photographers that continues to treasure the true craft of photography.

With passionate discipline he still captures images on film and masters their development in his own darkroom.

He feels that this is the only way that enables him to offer a committed and intimate involvement with the subjects of his contemplation.
